Documentation
Everything you need to install, customize, and get the most out of the DROP Shopify theme.
Getting Started
Installing DROP
Purchase DROP from the Shopify Theme Store. Once purchased, go to your Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes. DROP will appear in your theme library. Click "Customize" to start editing.
First Setup
Open the theme editor and start with Theme Settings. Set your brand colors, upload your logo, and configure your typography. DROP ships with optimized defaults, but every element is customizable.
Publishing Your Theme
Once you're happy with your customizations, click "Publish" in the theme editor. Your store will instantly switch to DROP. We recommend testing on mobile before publishing.
Theme Settings
Colors
DROP uses a dark color scheme by default. You can customize the background color, accent colors (primary, secondary), text colors, and border colors. All colors are configurable through Theme Settings → Colors.
Typography
Headings use Archivo Black by default. Body text uses Inter. Both can be changed in Theme Settings → Typography. You can also adjust heading sizes, body text size, and letter spacing.
Layout
Configure your page width, section spacing, and grid gaps in Theme Settings → Layout. The default max-width is 1400px with responsive padding.
Sections Guide
Hero Section
Full-height hero with support for background images, video, and gradient overlays. Configure your headline, subheadline, and CTA buttons. Supports animated text reveal on page load.
Marquee Ticker
An infinitely scrolling text banner. Add your own text items, set the scroll speed, and choose colors. Great for announcing drops, sales, or brand messaging.
Product Grid
Display products in a customizable grid. Choose between 2, 3, or 4 columns. Configure card style, hover effects, and which product information to display.
Drop Hub
The signature DROP section. Displays your products organized by drop status — live, upcoming, and archived. Configure countdown timers for upcoming drops and sold-out badges for archived ones.
Drop Features
Countdown Timer Setup
Go to Theme Settings → Drop Settings. Set your next drop date and time. The countdown will appear in the announcement bar and on any product page linked to the drop. When the timer hits zero, the product becomes available automatically.
Drop Hub Configuration
Add the Drop Hub section to any page. Tag your products with "drop-live", "drop-upcoming", or "drop-archived" to categorize them. The section automatically organizes products by these tags.
Waitlist Capture
Enable waitlist forms on upcoming drop products. Customers enter their email to be notified when the drop goes live. Integrates with Shopify's customer list or your email marketing provider.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
